The use and handling of pesticides at the University can only be performed by New York State certified commercial pesticide applicators or technicians in accordance with state and federal regulations and must incorporate Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices. Only pesticides registered for use in New York State can be applied.
- For general pesticide applications, please submit the form at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the application.
- For pesticide applications at or within 150 feet of a childcare facility, please submit the form at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the application.
- For agricultural pesticide applications (e.g., greenhouse, growth rooms, etc.) please submit the form at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the application.
- A copy of the Product Label and Safety Data Sheet for each pesticide applied at the University must be submitted to EHSS for recordkeeping.
Notification of a planned pesticide application should be made using the EHSS pesticide application notification form.
