Bloodborne Pathogens Program

Syracuse University’s Bloodborne Pathogen Program provides information and guidelines to help employees prevent occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (i.e., Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C , and HHIV).  The Program was developed in compliance with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

This program, including the requirement to complete bloodborne pathogen training,  applies to all employees who are reasonably anticipated to have exposure to human blood, blood products or other potentially infectious materials.
