State and federal petroleum bulk storage (PBS) tank regulations stipulate requirements for maintaining and operating petroleum tanks at the University. EHSS provides guidance and forms to University departments maintaining and operating PBS tanks to assist them in meeting the applicable requirements of these regulations. EHSS must be notified prior to the procurement, installation, removal or modification of any petroleum bulk storage tank. EHSS must also be notified of any leaks, releases, or equipment malfunctions associated with petroleum bulk storage tanks.
