Syracuse University’s Bloodborne Pathogen Program was established to meet the requirements of OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030). The Program is designed to help employees occupationally exposed to human materials protect themselves from exposure to bloodborne pathogens, including but not limited to, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV).
